Carefully balanced opposites were the order of the day for this beautifully constructed modern high rise. Some lighting elements, such at mud-in, trimless accent lights and cove details, seamlessly blend away, leaving only their effects to highlight the art and architecture. An ultra thin LED panel was used to backlight a Lalique crystal panel by the entry elevators, and color-tuning and dimming were employed to make sure the rare glass read exactly as the owner envisioned. Other lighting elements are purposefully bold, drawing attention to the fixtures and the elements they are lighting. Theatrical fixtures were an audacious choice to illuminate the master closet with its fashion showroom ambiance, while edge lit glass shelves illuminate dramatic shoe displays. Similarly, industrial inspired multi-head pendants illuminate the large kitchen island in a room that is notable for its minimalist approach.
